Poulades is a former farmers village in the central part of corfu island. In modern times there are few settlers obsupied with agricultural assets and more engaged with hospitality and rental services. The village is situated 1.5 km from dassia and gouvia, on the main road that leads from cοrfu town to paleokastritsa. The village intersection lasks a road sign and travelers should follow their mobile phone gps or look for the advertisement signs of corfu glass factory (which is located at the edge of the village). From there a small road traverses the gentle hill slope, which is covered with bushes, trees and olive groves. Along the road big yards with villas and holiday homes of different size are scattered. Some villas have more, others are organized in small complexes but all emphasize on the privacy and relaxing atmosphere. Poulades is situated next to the main island road and is a good starting point of exploration. It takes just a few minutes to drive to the most populous areas in and around Corfu town (kerkyra) where there is plenty of shops, restaurants, nightlife and boat services.
